About Kara

Kara is a native of Lexington and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003.  She relocated to Charleston, SC where she worked for several years before deciding she was ready to get back to her roots.  Being back in Rockbridge County has never been better!

Kara is dedicated to being detail oriented, knowledgeable and understanding.  She is passionate about her business and strives to provide a positive experience for her clients looking to buy and sell.  One of her top priorities is continuing education so she can offer clients the most accurate and up to date information and resources.  She has her GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative) and  e-PRO certifications.  In 2019, she graduated from the Virginia Realtors Virginia Leadership Academy.

She has served on the Rockbridge Highlands Realtors Board of Directors and was President of the Association in 2018.  Kara is currently on the Virginia Realtors RPAC Fundraising Trustees committee and is the Chair of the Virginia Leadership Academy Alumni Council.  She is married to Tim and has two children, Hadley and Jay.  In her spare time, she enjoys dabbling in interior design, *trying* to play golf and traveling to warm destinations!
